It's OFFICIAL...

you are officially on your way!

WombMates came back to our place on Tuesday night to confirm their mistake

& reassure us you are for sure a boy.

Yep, you are definitely a boy!

A growing boy at that.

It is incredible to see how much you've grown in just the past few weeks.

(you are now 18 weeks and 2 days old)

Mommy can't keep enough food down to keep you full ; )

You have me eating just about every 30 mins.

We could see all of your baby bones

including your fingers, femur, tibia,  and rib cage.

We were able to see you swallow the fluid with a full bladder..

and then...

a few minutes later your bladder was empty.

This means you went potty!

Your heart rate was much lower this time = 153 bpm!

You were literally doing a headstand for the whole ultrasound.

Our tech K.C. could not believe it.

Speaking of K.C.,

he is the Ultrasound tech from WombMates.

He said in all of the years he has done sonography,

he has never been wrong on predicting gender.

YOU WERE THE FIRST ONE!

YOU STUMPED HIM LITTLE MAN!

He said he will always remember you because of that : )

Daddy & Mommy are very excited to know that we will be bringing a son into this world in just about 22 weeks! We are both thrilled and can't wait to see what you look like!

Daddy & Mommy had Date Night tonight.

We went to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner

(I was craving their Mango Lemonade...Mmm)

We walked around San Tan Mall

&

enjoyed eachother's company!

I could feel you kickin' all night long!!! : )

Your daddy and I met in highschool. I was 17, he was 16 at the time.

We went on "dates" - although we were never officially boyfriend/girlfriend.

It wasn't until a year or so later that we made it official.

We are a month shy of being together for 3 years now!

Someday I will have to write the story of how we met, why we never dated in high school, and how we reconnected. Stay tuned!

Ooops!

OH MY HECK!!!!!

Today we found out some shocking news...

BABY JOHNSON= BOY!!!!!!!!

Today Mommy had her anatomical ultrasound done around 17-20 weeks.

(Im 17 weeks, 2 days along)

This was done by Charlotte at Dr. Webb's office.

Well surprise, surprise... she typed I t ' s  a B O Y!

WHAT?!?!

I could not believe it - all this time I thought you were a little girl! 

Needless to say, I was soo happy & very excited!!

You are the biggest blessing & all I pray for is your health.

I just want a healthy baby, whether it be a baby boy or a baby girl.

So... now Mommy is left all confused.

The ultrasound tech at 16 weeks was confident it was a girl and said the "bump" between the legs was just the umbilical cord. He then showed us a view where there was no "bump" present.

Now, this ultrasound tech reveals what she called a penis and said

ITS A BOY!!

All I can do is laugh and smile and just be confused.

We will just leave all the tags on everything we buy,

that way if we get another surprise, everything will still be all okay!! : )

We will continue on with the pregnancy expecting for you to be a boy.

If you surprise us and end up being a little girl, what a surprise and blessing that will be!

Either way, we love you to pieces!

Today at your ultrasound I saw:

-The four chambers of your heart

- Your bladder

- Your kidneys

- Your spine

- Your arms

- Your legs

-Your tummy

-Your face

-Your brain

-Your peepee : )

and then these little guys...

BABY FEET & TOES!

That has got to be the cutest thing ever!!!!

The ultrasound tech could not believe how active you were today.

She said you were wigglier than most babies she sees.

I started to feel flutters from your kicks a few days ago.

I only really felt them at night when I was laying very still.

Today, I felt them even a bit during the day!

The tech asked me if I was feeling you kick and move today.

I said just barely. She told me it's going to feel like a soccer

game in my belly once I can really feel you...because your so wiggly!

we found out today that you are a:

B A B Y  G I R L !!!!!!!!

Now that I can properly address you:

Baby Cupcake,

We were so surprised when we found out you were going to be our little princess! 

We had a company called WombMates come to our place and do a special ultrasound to reveal the gender of our baby. Mommy, Daddy, Grammie, Papa, Grandma & Grandpa Johnson, Uncle Shaq, Auntie Levianna & Kyiesha, my Aunt Valerie, Ava, and our friend Ryan all came to see you.

(Uncle Ryan had a try-out for work and Auntie Ashley had a cheer practice she couldn't miss, otherwise they would have been here too! They were sad to miss it, but very excited when I told them the news of our beautiful little girl!)

We watched you squirm around on our TV. You were very active once again today. Maybe you will be a little dancer, you sure got "moves" little girl! : ) You kept sucking your thumb during the ultrasound too! Too precious!

Afterwards, we went to Red Robin with Grammie and Papa. Then, Daddy and I went to Babies R' Us to sign up for their rewards program. We bought a couple cute outfits for you too--couldn't resist! : )

You are almost 16 weeks!! 24 more weeks until we get to meet you!! : )
