Blessings.

I am T H A N K F U L for you
J A X S O N   R E E S E!

It has been over year since we found out about your existence in this world.
Back then I didn't know how life would be with you.
Now, I cannot imagine life without you.

You are 4 1/2 months old & full of new tricks.
  • Blowing Bubbles
  • Rolling Over
  • Sitting up with minimal support
  • Holding your own bottles
  • Eating Oatmeal from a spoon
  • Self-soothing yourself to sleep at bedtime
  • Giggling up a storm
Over the past few weeks you have become very observant of your surroundings.
You are fascinated with Tooey.
We are teaching you to be gentle and kind to her.
She is a trooper and lets you bonk her upside the head or pull her hair.

We celebrated your first Thanksgiving this week.
Mama had you all decked out.
This year we opted for Bucca Di Beppo's
 family style Turkey Dinner.

It was yummy - but does not compare to Gigi's Turkey Dinner she normally prepares.

Playing a game on the night of Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve is a big deal around here.
It has been a family tradition since I was little.
You actively participated in your first game.
I can't even explain how excited I am to pass down old family holiday traditions
& create new ones with you.

You are the biggest blessing ever given to me.
The holidays have an all new meaning now because of YOU.
I am thankful for that.

Jaxson's First Halloween

This year Halloween fell on a Wednesday.
Lucky for Mommy - I didn't have to work that day.

I was indecisive when it came down to your first Halloween costume.
I had bought Skeleton Jammies, a Batman Onesie & even borrowed a Hershey's Kiss.

They were all okay...but were not special enough for my little guys first go at this whole trick-or-treat rendezvous.

I had to dress up like Minnie Mouse for work the day before. So late Tuesday night I happened to stumble upon an ad for custom made Mickey Mouse costumes. I e-mailed the lady with high hopes that she had one already made in your size.
SHE DIDN'T!

BUT SHE DID....
E-mail me back and say she could whip one up over night - if we were able to pick it up the next day. I couldn't believe it! I knew this was the costume for you!

Mama Minnie
&
Baby Mickey

After we got in our costumes,
we took pictures and headed out front.
It is a neighborhood tradition to sit out in the drive-ways and socialize.
You were crashed within the first 10 minutes : )
We passed out candy and checked out other childrens faBOOlous costume ideas.
Many neighbors came over to see you!
You were still too young to eat candy or go door-to-door.
Next year, I will pull you around in a wagon and those tiny feet of yours can
walk up to get your very own candy.

HAPPY 1ST HALLOWEEN  TO MY FAVORITE MICKEY MOUSE!
